The University of Trieste has the FACTSET database, a solution created for professional use by CFOs, asset managers, portfolio managers, etc. 

 FACTSET collects economic and financial data from all over the world and provides tools for analysing, comparing and exporting this data for finance professionals and scholars.

With FACTSET you can search and extract data, monitor markets, gather historical financial information, perform in-depth analysis, develop investment strategies, and much more.

The database can also be accessed remotely rather than from a predefined location and there is no limit on the number of users connected at the same time.

The request must be sent to Prof. Giorgio Valentinuz (giorgio.valentinuz@deams.units.it), indicating the following information:

• NAME
• SURNAME
• UNIVERSITY ID NUMBER
• INSTITUTIONAL EMAIL (UNITS.IT)
• MS/BS DEGREE COURSE
• EXPECTED GRADUATION DEGREE DATE (in the format MM/YYYY).

The absence (or incorrect entry) of even one of these details will not make it possible to activate the licence (which remains valid until the date of graduation). 

Once the licence has been approved (notification is sent to the institutional email), the applicant - when logging in for the first time - will have to create his/her own password.

Using your institutional email (userID) and the password you create, you will be able to access the database.
