Role and Functions

Since the introduction of Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999, and with even greater emphasis following the transition to Ministerial Decree no. 270/2004, it has become necessary to establish an ongoing relationship with the labour market. This relationship serves both to communicate the objectives of the educational programmes offered and to foster effective collaboration in identifying the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies that degree and master’s degree programmes should develop in order to ensure their relevance and employability.

In this context, the Department has deemed it important to establish three Advisory Boards in support of the Degree Programmes (Corsi di Studio – CdS) in the areas of Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics. The Advisory Board for the Degree Programmes is in fact a tool strongly recommended by ANVUR (the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System), which considers it one of the key elements in the assessment of degree programmes. Its purpose is to ensure continuous dialogue with labour market stakeholders, who can contribute both to the design of new degree programmes and to their periodic review.

Meetings of the Advisory Boards are held on an annual basis during the first semester (January–June) and may also take place online.
