The "curricular traineeship", which is the responsibility of the Didactic Secretariat, can be activated during the university career, with or without recognition of training credits. It can be carried out by students enrolled at the University of Trieste on all study courses: Bachelor's and Master's degrees, PhDs, Masters, postgraduate courses, specialisation schools. It does not entail any salary or social security obligations on the part of the host institution, which may award a scholarship or reimbursement of expenses to each trainee.
