Supply chain actors' perceptions are critical in building a better-connected and collaborative transport ecosystem. This study investigates how supply chain professionals perceive stakeholder collaboration and transport mode integration, and what organizational and individual factors influence these perceptions. Using survey data from logistics professionals worldwide, the research applies a two-step quantitative approach: an ordinal probit model to assess associations between perceptions and company/professional profiles, and a structural equation model to examine the causal relationship between collaboration and integration. Findings indicate that perceived integration is generally higher, but more dispersed, than collaboration. Logistics service providers report the highest levels of transport mode integration, while terminal operators perceive greater collaboration. Shippers perceive the lowest levels for both. Significant influencing factors include company size and type, transport modes involved, and seniority level. Professionals with decision-making power on the transport modes report notably higher collaboration perceptions, influencing perceived integration. By identifying key organizational drivers and perceptual gaps, this paper provides practical insights for industry and policymakers seeking to enhance collaboration across supply chain actors and support the development of more responsive, efficient, and sustainable transport networks.
